International Light House and Light Beacon Week

International Light House and Light Beacon Week is scheduled on 8th to 9th August 2009 and 15th to 16th August 2009 as Malaysian Light House Weekend 2009.

We will be operating on 15th to 16th August 2009 as detailed below.

For the event in Batu Pahat Lighthouse, strictly no visitors. All registered participants must be willing to operate the station with the given time table schedules with one guided mentor.

Foods and Tents (twin sharing basis) will be provided by ScoutsJB (www.scoutsjb.net) as a resource support during the event, thus the event operators will have more time to concentrate on the activity and rest.

All interested participants, are required to send an email to ( johorham@gmail.com ) with the particular of name, ic number, address, contact name & email and a scanned passport size picture. A small fee of RM50.00 is required for the event to be successful from each participants.

Station Operators Requirements:
Able to communicate in English Language.
Strong interest in Amateur Radio Communications.
Able to conduct net or have experience in conducting net.
Understand all the procedures of International Regulations & Local Guidelines.
Able to follow the instructions given by the Station Master.

RM50.00 will be used to cover the followings:
Foods & Refreshments for 3days / 2 nights
Tents (twin sharing basis)
QSL Cards (post events)
Certificate of Participation from Maritime Authority & State of Johore Government
Passes & Tags for the Event
Memorable Badge of 9M4LHJ for each participants.

20 operators are required on first come- first served basis.
5 support personnel from ScoutsJB.
